Vision & Mission
We have set for ourselves two main objectives as a church, we call them our “Riverbanks.” Riverbanks help direct a flow of water to its end destination and, more importantly, ensure that the river does not become stagnant, or, worse still, a swamp.
Our two Riverbanks
1. To Know Christ
Matthew 22:37-40 (ESV)
37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
This translates to all that we do in our local church, from Sunday corporate gatherings to prayer meetings, Life groups (adult small groups), 620 Students, Hope Rock Kids or any of our leadership training and equipping courses. This is how we as a church get to know our King better and in a ever growing way!
2. To Make Him Known
18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Making Christ known guides all that we do in our community and around the world. We are always looking for ways to make Christ known through local outreaches and international mission trips. We currently enjoy serving with Partners in Hope, Community First, various ministries in Roatan, Honduras, and ultimately being a part of larger Apostolic team called New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI). Hope Rock Church is committed to going and making disciples wherever the Lord leads: next door and to the nations!
