Peace on Earth
Isaiah 9:6–7 (ESV) — 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
During our Christmas Advent series, we have looked at Hope, Faith, and Joy. This week we will look at how Christ brings Peace. Into a world that was dominated by despair was born the Prince of Peace who was predicted 700 years before his birth. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year because we celebrate the birth of the One who alone could bring us the peace for which our hearts desperately long. God knows our sorrow and has provided all we need in Jesus!
