Often, when we think of King David our mind immediately goes to a brave young boy standing up to and facing a giant, or perhaps we think of David as the greatest King in the nation of Israel’s history – “A man after God’s own heart”.
But David’s story is not just a summary of successes and victories instead it gives us a real, raw and at times shocking look into the reality of our wicked human condition and what we realize is, for all of David’s virtues, David was also a man who had vices too.
